How Far Is Breakers Boutique Accommodation From Greymouth?
Breakers Boutique Accommodation is located just 14 kilometres north of Greymouth, making it an easy 10-minute drive along State Highway 6.
Our location offers the best of both worlds. Guests can enjoy a peaceful beachfront setting surrounded by native bush while remaining close to restaurants, cafés, shops, attractions and essential services.
How Far Is Breakers From Punakaiki Pancake Rocks?
The famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes at Punakaiki are approximately 30 minutes north of Breakers by car.
Many guests choose Breakers as a convenient base for exploring Punakaiki, Paparoa National Park, Pororari River Track, Truman Track and the surrounding coastline.
Is Breakers Boutique Accommodation Beachfront?
Yes.
Breakers enjoys direct access to a remote West Coast beach and offers uninterrupted views of the Tasman Sea. Guests can walk straight from the property onto the beach to enjoy sunsets, storm watching, photography opportunities, beachcombing and peaceful coastal walks.
The sound of the ocean and the ever-changing coastal landscape are all part of the Breakers experience.
Do You Have Free Parking?
Yes. We offer plenty of complimentary off-street parking for all guests.
There is ample room for cars, motorcycles, bicycles and touring vehicles.
Is Breakfast Included?
Yes. Breakfast is included in all room rates.
Guests can choose from a selection of hot and cold breakfast options designed to help start the day before exploring the many attractions of the West Coast.
Can You Cater For Dietary Requirements?
We are happy to accommodate most dietary requirements for breakfast,

Do You Provide Evening Dining?
Yes.
Guests can enjoy our homemade pizzas.
These meals must be ordered the evening before.
Where Is The Nearest Restaurant Or Café?
Greymouth is only a 10-minute drive away and offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés and dining experiences.
Closer to Breakers:
• Dunollie is approximately 5 minutes away and offers hearty pub meals.
• Runanga is also approximately 5 minutes away and offers takeaway food options until around 7pm.
We're always happy to share local recommendations and can assist with restaurant bookings.
What Time Is Check In?
Check in is available from 3.30pm until 6.00pm.
Earlier check in may be available by arrangement.
If you are running late, please phone us on 03 762 7743 before arriving. Due to limited cellphone coverage along parts of the West Coast, we recommend calling before leaving your previous destination.
Latest check in is 8.00pm unless prior arrangements have been made.
What Time Is Check Out?
Check out is by 10.00am.
Guests are welcome to continue enjoying the grounds and beach after checking out, provided rooms have been vacated by 10.00am to allow cleaning and preparation for incoming guests.
What Happens If I Need To Cancel My Booking?
As a small boutique accommodation provider, cancellations can significantly impact our business.
Our cancellation policy is:
• Within 21 days of arrival or no show: 100% of booking value forfeited.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen changes to travel plans.
Please note that weather events, road closures and other travel disruptions are generally not covered by our cancellation policy.
Do You Have Dogs On The Property?
Yes.
Breakers is home to our two much-loved family dogs:
Ansel, a friendly German Shorthaired Pointer.
Emma is an affectionate English Pointer.
While they enjoy meeting guests outdoors, they are not permitted in guest rooms or guest common areas.
Do You Allow Pets?
Generally, pets are not permitted.
However, during the quieter shoulder season between May and September, we may consider requests to bring well-behaved pets on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact us before booking if you would like to discuss travelling with your pet.
Do You Allow Children?
Yes. Families are welcome at Breakers Boutique Accommodation.
Room occupancy limits vary depending on the room selected and cots can be provided in selected rooms upon request.
Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times and ensuring they respect the property and other guests.
Do You Have Accessible Accommodation?
Yes.
Our Koru Room has been designed with accessibility in mind and includes:
• Hard surface parking
• Wheelchair ramp access
• Spacious layout with wide doorways
• Accessible bathroom facilities
• Handrails and slide shower

Do You Have Guest Laundry Facilities?
There are no guest laundry facilities as we collect our own rainwater and have to be mindful of water usage. We do not have a clothes dryer. There are laundromats in Runanga and Greymouth.
If you have wet clothing, you are welcome to use our clothes line; we are happy to supply pegs for use.
Is there an Iron and Ironing Board?
There is an iron and ironing board provided in each guest room
Do The Rooms Have Hairdryers?
Yes, there are hairdryers in each guest room.
Do You Have Free WiFi?
Yes.
Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property.
We utilise Starlink satellite internet which generally provides reliable coverage throughout the accommodation and grounds.
Do You Have Mobile Phone Coverage?
Mobile phone coverage is extremely limited at Breakers.
The nearest reliable signal is typically found approximately 150 metres away at the Strongman Mine Memorial and Lookout.
Many modern phones can use WiFi Calling while connected to our internet service.
We are also happy to assist guests using our landline for restaurant bookings, activity confirmations and travel arrangements.
